What is tesamorelin?
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analog of human growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It contains the complete 44-amino-acid GHRH sequence with one addition: a trans-3-hexenoic acid group attached to the N-terminal tyrosine. That small acyl cap makes the peptide more resistant to cleavage by dipeptidyl peptidase-4, the enzyme that rapidly inactivates native GHRH.
With a molecular weight of roughly 5.1 kDa, tesamorelin is the largest GHRH analog in our catalog. Researchers use it to study GHRH-receptor pharmacology with a stabilized full-length ligand, and it features in preclinical work on adipose-tissue and lipid-metabolism models. It is supplied as lyophilized powder in a 10 mg vial.

Reconstitution & storage for research
Adding 2 mL of diluent to the 10 mg vial gives 5 mg/mL; adding 1 mL gives 10 mg/mL. Larger peptides can take a little longer to dissolve fully, so allow a few minutes before judging clarity. At 5 mg/mL, a 100 µL aliquot contains 500 µg and a 200 µL aliquot contains 1 mg. To check a different volume, enter the vial size into the reconstitution calculator.
A sterile diluent such as bacteriostatic water is the usual choice for multi-use research vials. Add diluent gradually against the glass, allow the cake to dissolve on its own for a minute or two, and finish with a slow swirl. Shaking is unnecessary and can introduce foam.
Storage conditions
- Lyophilized powder: 2–8 °C for routine storage, −20 °C for long-term holding.
- Protection: shield the vial from light, humidity and temperature swings; store it upright in its box.
- Solution: keep refrigerated, record the lot number and concentration on the vial, and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles by aliquoting once.
Quality & testing
Tesamorelin is released only after HPLC analysis confirms purity of ≥98%. Each batch has its own Certificate of Analysis; find it by lot number on the COA page and file a copy with your receiving records.
- HPLC purity value for that specific lot
- Compound identity verification
- Lot number tied to the label on your vial
- Date of analysis, supplied form and storage guidance
Orders ship from the US in discreet packaging, with each vial labeled for research use. We accept payment by invoice or Zelle.
