What is CJC-1295 without DAC?
CJC-1295 without DAC, also catalogued as Modified GRF (1-29) or Mod GRF, is a 29-amino-acid synthetic analog of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It is based on the first 29 residues of GHRH, the shortest segment that retains receptor activity, with a small number of amino-acid substitutions introduced to slow enzymatic cleavage. "No DAC" means the peptide lacks the Drug Affinity Complex, the lysine-linked group that lets the DAC version bind albumin.
That difference matters at the bench: without the albumin-binding group, the peptide behaves as a short-acting GHRH analog, which is what many pulse-type experimental designs require. It is available from V8 Peptides as lyophilized powder in 5 mg and 10 mg vials.
Where it is used in the lab
- GHRH-receptor binding and cAMP signaling assays in pituitary cell models
- Pulse-type GH-release studies that need a short-acting GHRH analog
- Paired experiments with ghrelin-receptor agonists such as ipamorelin
For laboratory research use only; not for human consumption.

Reconstitution & storage for research
With two vial sizes, it helps to pick the target concentration first and work backwards. Adding 2 mL of diluent to the 5 mg vial gives 2.5 mg/mL, while the same 2 mL in the 10 mg vial gives 5 mg/mL. To hold both sizes at 2.5 mg/mL, add 4 mL to the 10 mg vial. At 2.5 mg/mL, a 100 µL aliquot contains 250 µg. For other volumes, the reconstitution calculator returns mg/mL and per-aliquot content instantly.
A sterile diluent such as bacteriostatic water is the usual choice for multi-use research vials. Let the diluent trickle down the vial wall, give the powder time to wet, and roll the vial between your fingers until no particles remain. Avoid shaking or vortexing at high speed.
Storage conditions
- Dry material: refrigerated (2–8 °C) on arrival; frozen (−20 °C) when it will not be used soon.
- Handling: limit exposure to warmth, moisture and light, and wipe the stopper with an alcohol swab before each puncture.
- Reconstituted material: store at 2–8 °C, note the date and mg/mL value in your lab record, and freeze single-use aliquots rather than refreezing one vial.
Quality & testing
Purity for CJC-1295 (No DAC) is measured by HPLC on a per-batch basis, with a ≥98% release threshold. The matching Certificate of Analysis is posted at /coa, which lets a lab verify what it received instead of relying on a generic specification sheet.
- Chromatographic purity (HPLC %)
- Identity check for the stated compound
- Lot number and test date for traceability
- Form supplied and recommended storage
Each sealed vial carries research-use labeling and ships domestically in the US. Orders are paid by invoice or Zelle.
